  1. Welcome to McAfee VirusScan Version 2.0.1!

  3. Version 2.0.1 is the first update of our new antivirus technology
  4. that was released in April, 1994.  The following changes have been
  5. made in the 2.0.1 release:

  8. VirusScan for DOS
  9.  
  10. o       The /NOBREAK switch has been added.  This switch will
  11.         prevent a scan from being stopped by pressing the
  12.         Ctrl-C or Ctrl-Brk keys.
  13.  
  14. o       Conventional memory requirements have been reduced
  15.         to 340Kb.
  16.  
  17. o       VirusScan now makes use of Expanded Memory (EMS)
  18.         available using the LIM-EMS 4.0 specification.  This
  19.         can reduce VirusScan's Conventional Memory (Base
  20.         640Kb) requirements by up to 60%.

  22. o       VirusScan's scanning speed has been improved by
  23.         approximately 12%.

  26. VirusScan for OS/2
  27.

  47. o       All false alarms reported to the VirusScan Development
  48.         Team have been fixed.

  50. o       CLEAN.DAT now includes removers for over 1,250 viruses,
  51.         including the 5Volt, Lycee.0930, ParVir1, and most boot
  52.         viruses.
